Black Tea Smooth Operator

Our Black Tea Smooth Operator is a light blend of dark tea with green tea, white tea buds and melon essence

Ingredients: Dark tea (Hunnan province), jasmine green tea, white tea buds, lemongrass, natural melon flavoring, calendula.

This unique tea brings together three different tea types: green, white, and dark tea. Dark tea is not to be confused with a typical black tea. Although the name of this tea is "Black", to make it simpler we stuck to a traditional name. Dark tea is a partially fermented black tea (not made in Yunnan, where all Pu'erhs come from). It's lighter, and less pungent than traditional pu'erh. Flavor-wise, this is a light and smooth blend, with sweet melon throughout the sip.

Covered teapots retain more heat, therefore the Teapot method requires less time for steeping.

Add more tea to your taste to make the tea richer or stronger, rather than leaving the tea to steep longer than directed.

Unique

Liked this tea, didn't love it. It's very unique though - worth a shot because I haven't had anything like it. Melon in tea - it's so different!

Hi Lynn, thanks for your review! Definitely give this one a try in the warmer months over ice. Sometimes a tea can take on a different personality when chilled. To make it cold double the qty. of tea, and halve the water (4oz), prepare with the same water temp and time. Add any sweeteners or milk at this point. Fill your glass with ice and top off with a bit of water. You're making a type of concentrate with the tea, and then diluting with ice and water at the end. It works well with any of our teas! cheers, the team at Field to Cup
