Each Field to Cup box gives you a different way to explore new teas.

If you enjoy teas that are orthodox, and un-blended, you'll enjoy our Adventurer. We still send two seasonal teas,  so you get a taste of the season.

Our Discoverer gives you more of a tea type you love, and four other teas to enjoy throughout the month.

If you enjoy just a taste of tea, or maybe like exploring new teas periodically, you'll enjoy the Explorer. It's just enough tea to try something new, but not too much to overwhelm you.

More about each of the teas

Premium Black Tea Smoky Keemun

Premium Black Tea Smoky Keemun

type: Black Tea

from: China, Anhui Province.

why we chose it:

This tea is produced on land in Sikkim, the only completely organic state in India. It lays along the southern border of the Himalayas.

This is the finest grade Keemun you will find. It's produced solely in Qimen county, in Anhui Province, between the Yellow Mountains and Yangtze River. Hao Ya "A" Grade teas are plucked from the top buds, just as they begin to emerge at the beginning of the tea season in Spring.

This tea has a slower withering process, bringing out deeper flavors in the steep, and a unique orchid or fresh cut flowers aroma attributed to a higher level of geraniol in the tea. Steep it in a teapot to enjoy the floral aroma. The deep, smokey flavor will win you over.

Included in the Adventurer and Discoverer Black.

Premium Black Tea Organic Sikkim First Flush

Premium Black Tea Organic Sikkim First Flush

type: Black tea

from: India,  Sikkim.

why we chose it:

This tea is produced on land in Sikkim, the only completely organic state in India. It lays along the southern border of the Himalayas.

The Temi Tea Estate is the only tea garden here, making it a jewel in the region. This tea garden was originally developed as a Tibetan refuge, giving them employment in the tea fields. It grew to what it currently is today, a beautiful sprawling garden that spans 1400 to 2000 feet of elevation, making the garden diverse. Every season is unique, and the tea produced here benefits from these seasonal changes. This tea presents a beautiful sandalwood aroma and flavor, with hints of nutmeg. The flavor is smooth and savory, with a lasting finish. It tastes very fresh, and bright. Steep this one multiple times, keeping an eye on the color of your steep. We fell in love with it at first sip!

Included in the Adventurer.

Premium Green Tea Silver Bud Jasmine Pearls

Premium Green Tea Silver Bud Jasmine Pearls

type: scented Green tea

from: China, Fujian Province.

why we chose it:

What makes this Jasmine Pearl tea superior to others is the way it's produced.

In the Spring, the first silvery bud of the tea plant, and two following leaves are carefully plucked. Each bud set is individually rolled by hand, and then laid carefully to dry amidst real Jasmine blossoms. The tea dries while the night-blooming Jasmine releases it's essential oils over 5-7 nights. The blossoms are removed each day, and then scattered again in the evening.

This tea will continue to give you it's intoxicating aroma and smooth flavor over several steeps. The mouthfeel is very creamy, and a has a very subtle nutty finish. When we drank this tea the first time, we realized why all other Jasmine Pearl teas were inferior.

Included in the Adventurer.

Black Tea Organic Irish Breakfast
Black Tea Organic Irish Breakfast

type: Black tea

from: India, Assam

Traditional Irish Breakfast teas absolutely need milk and sugar. We like to think that this high quality Assam can be served as is, however a bit of honey will be a nice foil to the malty, chocolatey notes. This tea is delicious, and brisk (read: STRONG)!

This tea is not supposed to be bitter, that would likely be the result of too much steeping time. Keep an eye on the timer for this one!

Included in: Discoverer Black, Explorer Black.

Herbal Blend Cacao Spice Chai
Herbal Blend Cacao Spice Chai

type: blended Cacao Shell tea

why we chose it:

Cacao shell tea has been gaining popularity for it's healthy (antioxidants) benefits, but we also find it appealing for its unique flavor profile. It's also a fantastic use of a product that has been waste in the production of chocolate.

Right after steeping, this tea presents a deep spicy aroma with a chocolate-y backbone. It smells and tastes like a rich spice cake with a dark chocolate finish. You might find the chocolate shells give this tea a slightly bitter taste, but it's more akin to a raw cacao flavor. It has a pleasing spicy finish to the sip.

Included in all boxes.

Oolong Tea Toasty Goddess

Oolong Tea Toasty Goddess

type: Oolong tea

why we chose it:

This tea is a beautiful example of Tieguanyin, otherwise known as Iron Goddess of Mercy. The name sounds intimidating (Iron??), however this tea is anything but.

The sweet floral nose is the first thing you'll notice. Flavor-wise, it's smooth, toasty and has a tiny bit of sweetness on the finish (as long as you don't go over the heat recommendations). You may find that you like the second steeping of this tea more than the first, but that's for you to discover!

Included in Explorer Black, Discoverer Black, Discoverer Low Caffeine.

Fruit Tea Pear-y Ginger

Fruit Tea Pear-y Ginger

type: blended Fruit tea

why we chose it:

Pear has recently been getting attention as a new Superfood, ginger has long been known to have many health benefits, especially for the digestive system.

We don't like to play favorites, but this one has us coming back for more. This sweet tea starts with juicy pear notes, and ends with spicy ginger heat. Steep it 7 minutes for more heat, and 5 minutes for less. This is the unexpected treat you'll enjoy time and again.

Included in Explorer Low Caffeine, Discoverer Low Caffeine.

Herbal Tea In The Clouds
Herbal Tea In The Clouds

type: blended Herbal tea

why we chose it:

Chamomile doesn't get the love it deserves. In this tea, Egyptian chamomile is the star. We like to think that this blend could change any chamomile-hating tea drinker into a lover!

It will win you over with the subtle notes of lavender, and the earthy cacao finish. The mouthfeel of this tea is what really sets it apart. You'll find a blissful place with this tea.

Included in Discoverer Low Caffeine, Discoverer Black, Explorer Low Caffeine.

Rooibos Tea Apple-y Ever After

Rooibos Tea Apple-y Ever After

type: blended Rooibos tea

why we chose it:

Rooibos tea can be off-putting to some, we think this one will win you over.

Hints of apple and brown sugar linger in this smooth, earth cup. This tastes like a roasted sweet apple! It's somehow both rich and light at the same time. You'll enjoy the lingering earthy/sweet taste of this rooibos. Mmm!

Included in Discoverer Low Caffeine, Explorer Low Caffeine.

Black Tea Ginger Bark

Black Tea Ginger Bark

type: blended Black tea

why we chose it:

Have you ever craved chocolate? If not, well...

This tea is chocolate-y without being "chocolate". This tea is smoooooth and ginger-y! The ginger is not sharp, but more of a complement to the tea.

Sweet, chocolatey with a touch of heat. It has a very soothing effect, probably because it's so smooooth. Serve this with a crackling fire.

Included in Explorer Black, Discoverer Black.
